NEED FOR A NATIONAL ORGANIZATION SUPPORTING HAIR LOSS
There are over 100 different hair loss conditions. Some types of hair loss conditions are more common than others. For example, male balding and female hereditary thinning affect about 50 % of people in the world. In contrast the hair loss condition alopecia areata affects about 2 % of the world and some types of scarring hair loss conditions affect 0.01% to 0.001% of all people. Hair loss can affect all ages from children to the elderly and affects all people from every part of the world.
If hair loss was consistently easy to treat, and the cause of various hair loss conditions were known, there would be little need for the Canadian Hair Loss Foundation. But not all hair loss conditions are easy to treat and the cause of most types of hair loss aren't well understood.
We can and must do better.
And to do better - we need your support!
SUPPORT THE CANADIAN HAIR LOSS FOUNDATION
The Canadian Hair Loss Foundation was established in 2014. There is an extremely dire need in Canada to improve the availability and delivery of high-quality care for patients with various types of hair loss. The Canadian Hair Loss Foundation serves not only as a voice of Canadians with hair loss but also an instrument to bring about improvement and change. We have listened to patients, their families, to health care providers and to researchers in the field of hair loss. We are fuelled by the support, energy and enthusiasm of Canadians to make the visions and dreams of those with any type of hair loss - a reality. Please support us with a donation, however small or however big.
The Canadian Hair Loss Foundation was created in 2014 as a non-profit organization with the goal to support research and education in hair loss. Our visions, goals and dreams are lofty ... but achievable.
Thank you for your support
